Bringing Research To Life: Understand & Listen

Academic papers are often dense—filled with technical language, long analyses, and complex data. At ISTLJ, we believe that knowledge should be accessible, digestible, and usable for everyone. That’s why we do more than publish articles:

  • We distill each paper into its core ideas in clear, everyday language, so you can grasp the essence without getting lost in jargon.
  • We convert this summary into a podcast format—so you can listen while commuting, exercising, or doing chores.
  • With audio versions, you maximize your time, deepen comprehension, and stay connected to current research wherever you are.

Imagine scholarly insights at your ears. Learning that fits your schedule. Welcome to a new way to engage with academia.

FAQ

When you submit your manuscript, it first goes through an editorial check for format, scope, and adherence to submission guidelines. If it passes, it enters double-blind peer review, where independent experts evaluate it. Based on their feedback, the manuscript may be accepted as is, asked for revisions, or rejected. Once accepted, it goes through production (proofreading, formatting, final edits) before publication.

After an article is accepted and finalized for publication, we prepare a podcast version of its blog. This involves distilling the main ideas into clear, accessible language, recording an audio version, and editing it. The podcast summary is released shortly after the article appears in the journal, and made available on our website and major podcast platforms.

Yes. For many articles, we create infographic visual summaries that highlight key findings, methods, or conceptual frameworks. The goal is to help readers grasp complex ideas quickly at a glance, supporting better comprehension especially when time is limited.

Manuscripts should include standard components: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results/findings, discussion, conclusion, and references. Authors must follow our reference style, ensure originality (no plagiarism), and write clearly and coherently. If your manuscript involves specialized terminology, define it clearly. Also, non-native English submissions may need language editing.

The timeline can vary depending on the field, reviewer availability, and needed revisions. Typically, the peer review process takes about 4-8 weeks. Once the article is accepted, production (proofs, formatting, final edits) may take several more weeks. In total, from submission to final publication, a usual estimate is 2-4 months, though in some cases it may be longer.
